PRETORIA: The Minister of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Hon. Sindisiwe Chikunga, MP, will today, Wednesday, 1 July 2026, represent the Government of the Republic of South Africa at the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America, hosted by the Embassy of the United States of America.
The occasion presents an opportunity for South Africa to extend its warm congratulations to the Government and people of the United States of America on this historic milestone, and to reaffirm the importance of the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
The Minister’s participation will further underscore South Africa’s commitment to a constructive and forward-looking relationship with the United States, grounded in respect for each country’s sovereignty, national interests and shared aspirations for peace, democracy, development and human dignity.
